Strategies for Enhancing Your Workplace Motivation

Workplace is an important place in any one’s life as one spends a large portion of his time and energy there. But unfortunately many people have negative attitude towards their workplace. They do not want to be there with all those people surrounding them. Their mind is occupied not by their work but by their desire to escape from there. Certainly, this is not good for the employees or for the employers as business cannot thrive without motivated people. There are some key strategies that can be followed in order to enhance your workplace motivation

Be sincere and frank:

The way you feel heavily depends on the action and speech of the people around you. In the same way your action and speech also affects the lives of people around you. So the best thing for everyone is to be sincere and frank towards everyone else. Backbiting is not a solution. Have the courage to face anyone and talk about anything that comes in your way.

As an employer you should be sincere and give proper feedback to your employees. You should know the specialty of your employees and their weak points too. So at times you should talk to them and tell them how you feel. Similarly, you should listen to their comments too. Make them feel that they are being heard.

Appreciate the efforts:

Nobody wants to work in a place where one’s efforts are not recognized. It is crucial that everyone feels their importance in the workplace as this will keep them motivated towards their work. So a good employer never fails to thank his employees for their good work. You might even offer a beer or a pizza to your employees to show your appreciation. This will have a big impact on them.

Be friendly, not bossy:

Nobody wants to be ordered and being told every time as to what he or she should do. Do not make yourself a dictator figure in front of your employees. Start the day by greeting your employees and with some informal talks. You could ask them about their vacation or how their children are. These friendly notions will relieve a lot of work pressure for the employees thus enabling them to concentrate fully on their work. With a relation like this your employees will understand that you are just doing your duty even if you have to nag sometimes.

Other ways to enhance your workplace motivation are to have a motivational speaker for your employees or have reunions regularly with them. What ever strategy you use, you are the one responsible for keeping your work force motivated and keep the business going on.

Personal Motivation Secrets for Achieving your Goals

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be successful? Maybe you have seen other people achieving their goals while you struggle and fail every time. Well, I will let the cat out of the bag. It is personal motivation which is the key to achieve all your goals.

Each of us has our own personal goals. Some want to lose weight, some want to quit smoking while others want to achieve success at workplace. The goals might be different but the path to follow is the same.

Firstly, define what your goals are. Be clear about what you want and make sure it is realistic too. It is more than certain that you will not be able to lose 20 pounds in a day or in a week. Nor will you be able to increase your running capacity by two folds in a day.

After you set your goals make realistic approaches that how you can achieve those goals. You can write them down and make some commitments. For example you can decrease the number of cigarettes you smoke in a day. You can jog a few miles everyday and include more vegetables in your diet if you want to lose weight.

The most important thing of all is to continue your efforts. Let only optimism flow in you. It might seem that your daily progress is nearly zero but if you go on trying, you will see a big difference one day. On a regular basis you can check your written goals against the reality and compare your progress. This will give you a clear vision of your past, present and help you set new directions for the future.

It is really helpful to know about people like you who were initially struggling with the same problem as you are and were finally able to come out of it completely. These sorts of stories will inspire you and remind you of the fact that success is possible for you too. You can join some rehabilitation groups or attend seminars in your community. This will keep you focused in your goals and keep your personal motivation high.

It might take a month or a year but you should know that you are reaching there no matter what it takes. Keeping yourself personally motivated in this way is a sure way to achieve your goals. Always keep in mind that difficult things are always beautiful. Once you achieve your goals you will be a hero to yourself. Thus, you can relate your experience and story to help motivate others towards their goals too.

Positive Impacts of Motivational Quotes

All of us have dreams in our lives but only a few of us are lucky enough to see them come into reality. Although I did say lucky, luck has very little to play. The major determining factor is the driving force called motivation.

Getting distracted from your goal is very easy and that makes you a loser. But keep in mind no matter how long a night might seem a new dawn is bound to come. So you need to keep on moving towards your goal even in bad times and the only way to do so is being motivated.

Motivational quotes are the best sources of motivation. Just a single sentence carries the entire history of some significant person or a historical event reminding us of the glory of victories and successes which were thought nearly impossible to achieve.

Just for example I have a famous quote by Franklin Roosevelt glued to my purse which reads “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. It instantly reminds me of the Great Depression period. How bad the condition was getting and finally how the problem was solved through a lot of hard work and dedication.

No matter how many times I read the line the power of the message never seems to fade away. It always inspires me to face any problem boldly and win it instead of getting more worried and let the problem win over me.

So if you want to reach up to your goal you should make the motivational quotes an important part of your life. Your goal might be related to success in business, success in study or success in sports. You should find the quotes related to your field and collect them.

Then you should note them down somewhere where you will see them several times. You could paste them on the wall of your room or use them as your computer’s screen saver. You should make a habit of reading them daily. Then whenever you have some free time you should explore a bit on the history and background of the quote. That will give you more hope and confidence and motivate you even more.

Achieving your goal is not impossible but it certainly is very difficult. And the only way to be a winner is to move continuously breaking every hurdle that comes in your way. So motivational quotes can be your great source of motivation giving you the patience, hope and strength to move along and achieve what you always wish for.
